Call This Place Home With The Finest Coffee And Food In Mazarine Coffee

When they set out to conceive of a new cafe where people have access to the best coffee and light fare, they were entranced by the story of the Bibliothèque Mazarine. The very first public library in France, the Bibliothèque was opened to scholars in 1643. Its legacy lives on as a symbol of French culture, democracy, and taste. The idea that an artfully assembled collection might serve the public good struck a deep chord with them.

Order An Array Of Pastries And Salads In La Capra Coffee

The name “La Capra” celebrates not only the well known coffee origin story of Kaldi and his capering goats, but also the Italian espresso customs preferred by us. While purveyors of today’s “third wave” coffee are justly celebrated for their devotion to single origin coffees and lighter roasts, we at La Capra look to a more traditional, Italian expression in the roasting of our signature espresso blend. At La Capra, the Italian embrace extends to the spirit of the space at 50 Fremont Street.

Be Welcomed In This Place That Authentically Served Coffee In Farley's Coffee

It all began in 1988 when Roger Hillyard broke the glass insert of his French press and couldn’t find a store that sold replacement parts. Roger scoured San Francisco for a space to open a coffee and tea paraphernalia store and settled on 1315 18th Street on Potrero Hill. He named his new shop after his grandfather Jack Farley, who disappeared without a trace in 1921. Farley’s SF is an institution of Potrero Hill and many consider it to be the original “third-wave” coffeehouse.

Whether You Are Looking For A Delicious Sandwich, They've Got You Covered In The Coffee Bar

The mission for Coffee Bar exists today as it did when we first opened: to provide the customers with an exceptional cafe experience. They do that in a few different ways, but believe the best experience begins with the coffee itself, and that means working with an extraordinary roster. At Coffee Bar, all of their beans are sourced directly from Mr. Espresso, a Bay Area roasting institution since the 1970s. Finally, they are proud to offer thoughtful, healthy breakfast and lunch items.

Snag A Pour Over, Espresso Drink Or New Orleans Iced Coffee In Blue Bottle Coffee

In the early 2000s, in Oakland, California, a slightly disaffected freelance musician and coffee lunatic, weary of the commercial coffee enterprise and stale, overly roasted beans, decided to open a roaster for people who were clamoring for the actual taste of fresh coffee. In honor of Kolshitsky’s heroics, he named his business Blue Bottle Coffee and began another chapter in the history of superlative coffee.
